Full-time position available providing administrative services for the Mayor, Recorder and Town Council. Duties include:

• Managing office.
• Serving as liaison between elected officials and the public.

• Bookkeeping, payroll and assisting with the annual budget.

• Administering grants.
• Overseeing Town website/social media. • Assisting the Recorder with biannual municipal elections.

To qualify for this position, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or 5-7 years’ experience in a professional management position(s). Preferred education/experience in public administration, finance/accounting/ economics, journalism, business management or other related field.

The Weirton Board of Parks and Recreation is accepting applications for the position of Parks and Recreation Director. The position is responsible for providing direction, leadership, oversight to the city’s cultural, recreational, athletic, and community health and fitness programs. Facilitates the development of strategy and policy for the department, and ensures that the city’s mission, core values, and goals are incorporated into activities and services.

This is a highly responsible professional position that includes administrative and managerial work, planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the Weirton Board of Parks and Recreation. The Director of Parks and Recreation plans, promotes, organizes, and administers public recreation service for the community, under policies established by the Weirton Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners.
