The West Virginia Municipal Clerks and Recorders Association (WVMCRA) is proud to continue its commitment to supporting professional growth and development through the Municipal Clerks Scholarship Program.

Each year, WVMCRA awards scholarships to assist municipal clerks in attending the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) Certification Institute. This training provides essential education, skills, and networking opportunities that strengthen both the individual clerk and the municipalities they serve.

The scholarship program is designed to help offset personal financial barriers that may prevent clerks from attending. Funding is awarded based on individual financial need and is paid directly to the Municipal Clerks Institute.

By investing in education, WVMCRA strengthens the future of municipal government in West Virginia and ensures that clerks have the knowledge, tools, and confidence to serve their communities effectively.

We encourage all eligible clerks—whether new to the profession or continuing in their certification journey—to apply. Please read the application carefully and ensure that all required information and supporting documentation are submitted by the deadline of July 31, 2025
