Weirton Elementary School students see city government in action
WEIRTON, W.Va. — Weirton City Council took its meeting on the road Tuesday to make a decision about an important issue.
The meeting was held at Weirton Elementary School so students to see city government in action. As a bonus, those students to become the first to learn the city's Christmas tree display will be back this year.
Students learned plenty more, like 4th grader Kayla Velogel, who didn’t know Weirton’s Mayor’s name is “Bubba,” speaking of Harold “Bubba” Milller.
